Oak Hill Cemetery and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

As defined by the US Environmental Protection Agency, ground penetrating radar (gpr) is an “electromagnetic geophysical method [that] transmits radio wave pulses at select center frequencies into the ground to study the subsurface.”  

 

Here, Todd Szymkowski, of Ramaker and Associates, employs GPR technology to verify accuracy of burial sites and to locate potentially unmarked graves, most likely those of infants, in comparison to the cemetery's original plot map.
